Granite is one of the seven wonders of stone in my opinion – six of the others that I will be discussing in the future on this blog – and its brilliant for solving som eof the most intricate surface problems that you can imagine, specifically within home; surface problems such as kitchen countertops, bar tops, laundry rooms, dining tables, shelves, and believe it or not some people (the ones with a lot of money) use full granite slabs as garage walls, just like you see in many airports, hospitals and large commercial buildings around the world. Just take a look at the beauty on the image below. This particular job was designed for as receptionist desk at a large commercial building, and look how nice it came together.

It is impossible for me (or anyone I think) to even begin to imagine how these beautiful colors were born right below our feet, but I guess that’s the mystery of true art, it only exists in the eyes and mind of its creator… in this case, mother nature.

If we go back 10 years, maybe 20 or 30, heck, even 100 years, we can see that granite has always been an elite material of choice for surfaces, sculptures and large buildings with history. I think the reason for that is because of its strength and durability. If you go to Washington DC and look around at all the older buildings, or museums, you will see that most have some type of granite either on the floors, pilars, walls, bathrooms, etc.

Granite can withstand the test of time not just in durability and sturdiness, but also in trend… its exotic and outlandish designs surpass any modern trend.
